No. We work closely with sending churches to facilitate and serve those God has called to missionary service, but they are sent and supported by their local churches. Q. What services does SFMI provide to missionaries? A. We provide a candidate screening process, and then practical missionary training for those recommended to a particular mission field by their local church and SFMI. Once on the field, SFMI channels funds, distributes information to supporters, provides ongoing guidance and accountability, limited pastoral care, emergency assistance, and other services.
